Photography Trends in 2024
After going to a Photographer's retreat in Peru, where this was brought briefly, I decided to explore the intersection of past influences and modern advancements in photography trends for 2024. A Very Special Mother’s Day
As Mother's Day approaches, my mind inevitably drifts towards a special mama I had the pleasure of photographing not too long ago. She is a true inspiration - a military wife, a dedicated professional, and above all, a loving and nurturing mother to her children, one of whom has autism. Being in her presence was like being in the presence of a beacon of positivity and strength. She somehow manages to juggle the demands of her career, the challenges of military life, and the complexities of raising a child with special needs with grace and unwavering determination. I found myself in awe of her ability to handle it all with such ease and poise.
It is OK to Say No to Clients
…I have learned the importance of saying no to clients who do not align with my vision. It has been a journey of self-discovery and growth, as I have come to understand the value of my work and the impact that it has on both myself and those who view it. Saying no is not always easy, but it is a necessary step in our evolution as artists. It allows us to cultivate a sense of authenticity and integrity in our work, and to create images that truly reflect our artistic vision. So, next time you are faced with a decision to say no to a client, remember that it is a powerful act of self-respect and a reaffirmation of your worth as a photographer.
